Being a client focused organization, Merrick’s tailored integration of survey equipment, personnel, and computer resources allow the most economical project approach to match client’s Orders of Accuracy and precision requirements. Merrick’s equipment resources include GPS, 1-second total stations, digital levels, and interchangeable (GPS/total stations) data collectors.

Merrick has developed protocols for collecting field survey data that expedite its post processing in the office. These methods are known as our “Field to Finish” survey protocols. The primary objectives of this concept is to facilitate building quality into our product rather than inspecting quality into deliverables and to allow field crews to perform “push button” processing so they can assure the position and attribute integrity of the data before they leave the site. Added benefits are that deliverable lead times are reduced, field feature codes are streamlined and standardized, the field data can be processed for coverage verification, and data can be down-loaded to the home office and readily incorporated into the final deliverable products. All of these enhancements make the survey collection very accurate, fast and cost effective.
