Ralph W. Christie, Jr., PE, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Merrick & Company, joined the firm in 1992. In his role, he oversees the management of the 475-person, 11-office, employee-owned firm. He was elected president and CEO in 1997 and, subsequently, was elected chairman of the board of directors later that same year. Mr. Christie has 35 years of technical and management experience in the engineering and construction industries and is a registered professional engineer in Colorado and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Christie is a founding board member of the Colorado Space Business Roundtable and is currently co-chair of the Colorado Space Coalition. He has served as chair of the board for the Aurora Economic Development Council, is an active board member for the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Southeast Business Partnership, and the Aurora Economic Development Council. He is also a director on the Colorado State Bank and Trust’s Board of Directors, an advisory board member for the University of Cincinnati College of Civil/Environmental Engineering, and on the University of Colorado at Denver Engineering Leadership Council.
